Science and innovation as a tool for modernizing the economy and improving conditions and quality of life, environment and health
The 17th INTARG® International Trade Fair of Inventions and Innovations will take place in Katowice, at the International Congress Center, on May 21-23, 2024. This is an event with a broad impact – interdisciplinary, national and international.
The INTARG® trade fair, over the years of its existence, has developed a high international profile, as evidenced by its annual support by top-ranking national and international institutions, including – as the only trade fair in Poland and few in the world – by the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO (one of 16 UN agencies).
INTARG® 2024 has been included in the program of events to be held in Katowice in connection with its obtaining the title of European City of Science 2024. Thus, this year’s edition of this event will become part of the prestigious European program presenting the future of the world based on scientific research and innovations.
The fair presents research results and innovative solutions from various industries and fields, with a view to their dissemination, implementation and commercialization – from medicine and health, through solutions for various industries, environmental protection, security, IT, to inventions useful in everyday life. The fair provides an international platform for cooperation between the scientific community, industry and business, disseminating good practices in the field, and offering valuable information and assistance in obtaining funds for development based on new technologies.
The exhibition space of the Fair will be divided into industry, institutional and national zones, as well as a zone of accompanying events.
* INTARG® COMPETITION – an integral part of the Fair is the INTARG® competition, in which a group of jurors and experts evaluate the presented solutions, selecting the most interesting ones and awarding prizes and medals. Members of the Jury are recognized Polish and foreign scientists and experts, and among the awards will be: Grand Prix, Jury Chairman’s Award, WIPO Award (in several categories), as well as platinum awards, diamond “Pro societas bono” awards, institutional awards – of patrons and partners of the event, and medals (gold, silver and bronze)
* FINAL GALA INTARG® 2024 combined with the presentation of the highest honors and awards to the winners of the competitions: INTARG® (17th edition), INNOVATION LEADER® Promotional Emblem (22nd edition), YOUNG INVENTOR (19th edition).
* CONFERENCES: Silesian University of Technology, the Substantive Partner, is the organizer of conferences – discussion panels with the participation of scientists, representatives of industry and business, and VIP guests, which will illustrate the importance of science both social and economic dimensions. They are devoted to the synergy of science and industry, knowledge and technology transfer, as well as protection of intellectual property. The panels are also organized by WIPO. All panels take place on the Fairgrounds, with simultaneous access to the access via the IT network.
* INTARG® EKO SHOW will present solutions to address the needs of ecological transformation and achieve climate neutrality, in order to prevent global warming, climate change on Earth, deterioration of quality of life and diseases of civilization, degradation of the planet.
* INTERNATIONAL MATCHMAKING EVENT INTARG® – B2B talks
* TOP POLAND’S INVENTION AWARDS at the International Invention Fairs in 2023, with a ceremonial presentation of awards by the Minister of Education and Science for special activity in promoting Polish science on the international arena.
* THE SILESIAN SCIENCE PARK with a Mobile Planetarium will allow you to discover the secrets of the Cosmos.
* ARTISTIC EVENTS: Both the inauguration and the Final Gala will receive a rich artistic setting, which will be provided by the Event’s Partner, the W. Korfanty Institute of Polish Thought.
LOCATION: The International Congress Center (ICC) in Katowice, thanks to its location in the very center of the capital of the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolis, is the right place for the realization of the event’s mission.
