The homes of the future: smart, self-sufficient and virus-proof
Haus houses are a real concentration of technology. They are prefabricated modules that are “printed” three-dimensionally. This makes it possible to significantly reduce construction time and costs: the houses are delivered “turnkey”, complete with furnishings and ready for habitation. Neuralink: a monkey plays Pong using only its brain
One small step for Pager, one giant leap for mankind. This is how we could sum up the experiment that took place a few days ago in the laboratories of Neuralink, Elon Musk’s biotech company that has been working on the human-machine link since 2016 (we have already talked about it here). Pager is the name of a nine-year-old macaque on which the first prototype of the brain connection system conceived by Musk was implanted. Thanks to this chip, the guinea pig was able to play a game of Pong (the cult videogame of the 1980s) using his brain directly to control the dynamics of the game. It looks like water but it is “distilled carbonara
Italian chef Valerio Braschi has created distilled carbonara: a shot of liquid that is as clear as water but has all the flavour of the typical Roman pasta dish made with eggs, pecorino cheese and bacon. The liquid is served in 50 ml glasses as an amouse-bouche before the starter. Valerio created this ‘distillate’ on the occasion of Carbonara Day 2021 (6 April). The first customers who have tasted it assure that it tastes just like Rome’s favourite pasta dish but with 0 calories! To make it, you need skills and tools worthy of a chemistry lab.
