Y-Brush: the smart toothbrush to brush your teeth in 5 seconds

Y-brush toothbrush teeth

The French company FasTeesH presented a revolutionary toothbrush at CES 2020: Y-Brush is able to thoroughly clean all teeth in less than 5 seconds.

The technology also arrives in the bathroom. After the energy-saving robot in the living room and the smart lock for the bedroom, even the “most private” room in the house opens the door to high-tech gadgets. After Nebia – the smart shower that reduces water waste by 70% – it’s Y-Brush’s turn. It is a truly revolutionary toothbrush presented at CES 2020 in Las Vegas by the French company FasTeesH. The special feature of this gadget is that it can thoroughly clean the teeth of both jaws in less than 10 seconds. This is possible thanks to its unusual shape. Instead of the normal brush head found in most toothbrushes, Y-Brush “mounts” a structure similar to a mouthguard entirely covered with nylon bristles. All the user has to do is sprinkle the bristles with their own toothpaste, place the device on the dental arch and start the vibration. The bristles begin to vibrate and, thanks to the 45-degree angle, they can clean all teeth simultaneously within seconds.

Y-Brush: How the world’s fastest toothbrush works

In addition to the mouthguard shaped head, Y-Brush is equipped with a special trapeze-shaped handle that facilitates the user’s grip. The device offers three different vibration modes – to be chosen according to the sensitivity of your teeth – and is powered by a battery with wireless recharging that guarantees an autonomy of about one month. FasTeesH tested Y-Brush on a group of 3,000 French people. At the end of the test, the creators of the toothbrush said that “the special nylon bristles are more effective in removing plaque than other materials, such as silicone”. Other tests have also shown that Y-Brush removes 15% more plaque than a traditional toothbrush. Y-Brush can be pre-ordered online for $125. Delivery will start in March: brushing your teeth has never been so fast!
