Alice Zantedeschi and Francesca Pievani are two young people from Verona and Bergamo who have risen to the honor of the press among the winning startups. In 2014 they founded Fili Pari, a brand in the fashion sector. So far nothing extraordinary, except that their creations are derived from Veromarmo, a patented material derived from marble.
The two Italian designers, both students at the Faculty of Design at the Politecnico di Milano, have decided to design clothing following a precise intuition. In fact, they were able to combine creativity and innovation with the wise tradition of Made in Italy fashion. The result of this is the brand Fili Pari, the result of the anagram of Fripi and Ali, the two co-founders. Therefore, the reference to the textile through the figure of the thread is simple and immediate. Let’s discover together the history and the projects of this initiative 100% Made in Italy.
The concretization of the invention
Born from the mix of tradition and innovation, the startup Fili Pari designs clothing through Veromarmo, a special patented material. In detail, the latter is an aggregate obtained from marble quarried in the quarries of Bergamo, Verona and Trento. Therefore, the innovative material gives the garment not only colour, but also a pleasant sensation to the touch. These effects derive from calcium carbonate, which is regularly used in the food sector as well as in the building industry.
Of course, the final garment consists of wool or cotton and Veromarmo, which has a number of characteristics:
- Waterproof
- Windproof
- Breathable
- Thermoregulating
- Does not ignite easily
The history of Veromarmo is already full of important stages. The project becomes a reality when in 2014 it wins a loan from Confindustria Verona. From then on, the climb starts, which has seen the achievement of prestigious and strategic collaborations at the same time. Milan 140, refers to the place where Fili Pari is carrying out a collection of men’s jackets made of Ebony Black Marble. Frigerio 21, a Milanese company, goes beyond the traditional use of marble. Therefore, the company is reinventing its use through creativity applied to home furnishing accessories.
