Universiti Malaya Civil Convention 2022

The Universiti Malaya Civil Convention 2022 (Civil Con ’22) is a student-led program organized under the collaboration of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Club (CEEC) and Institution of Civil Engineers Universiti Malaya Student Chapter (ICEUMSC). This event will target secondary school students, pre-university students, undergraduates, and post-graduates from all local universities in Malaysia. The convention will consist of 4 major events, which are ‘Forum and Sharing Session’, ‘Career Fair and Exhibition’, ‘Rebuild: Civil Engineering Student Conference’ and ‘Civil Engineering Quiz (CiviQ)’. 

FORUM & SHARING SESSION

The forum and sharing session aims to expose civil engineering students to technical knowledge by connecting with professionals and industry experts. High-profile speakers or panelists will be invited to Universiti Malaya to share a specific topic related to the civil engineering field. 

CAREER FAIR & EXHIBITION

The goal of the career fair is to introduce job opportunities to the civil engineering students, which aids the students in securing job placement. Companies related to the civil engineering field, namely the consultancy firms, contractor companies, and developers will be invited to promote their companies and recruit. Alongside the career fair, an exhibition will also be organized. The items that will be displayed are research products of postgraduates, final year projects of Year 4 undergraduates, Wall of Fame, products or projects of engineering companies.

REBUILD : CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT CONFERENCE

Rebuild: Civil Engineering Student Conference is an event gathering construction field-related undergraduates and postgraduates from all universities in Malaysia. It provides a learning environment for them to cooperate and deal with each other in the related field. The aim is to train participants in providing outstanding solutions to stand out in the competitive market in the future. We arrange talks, workshops by experienced guest speakers to aid the preparation of participants for the case study competitions.

CIVIL ENGINEERING QUIZ (CIVIQ)

The Civil Engineering Quiz aims to provide a platform to test the understanding of the upper-secondary school and pre-university students on various topics, especially related to the civil engineering field. It also provides a chance for the students to visit the Universiti

Malaya’s Faculty of Engineering. The Quiz will involve the preliminary round and the final round.
