Thanks to the historic Japanese brand, which has always been an innovator, now even a car can “wear” a mask, which will allow it to protect us from the virus when it is transporting us.
With an efficiency of 99.8%, this special cabin filter is mounted above the traditional air filter and is able to retain and eliminate viral molecules within 15 minutes. Honda, in order to design and realize this interesting product, has availed itself of a Japanese health company, specifically committed against the coronavirus. In fact, it has been conceived for cars that will have to be used in the transport of Covid-19 patients or to keep the passenger compartment sanitized in case of particularly intense weather conditions, in cold or rainy weather and therefore, with windows and roofs closed.
Its replacement is foreseen after 15,000 km and despite having achieved excellent results in the experimentation and testing phase, Japanese technicians have not ensured total safety and protection
from specific viral forms. As is traditional for many inventions, for many products, this time too, cunningly, the Japanese have been inspired by the natural properties of an animal.
Apparently Kurumask draws inspiration from the natural conformation of the wings of the dragonfly, which allows them to maintain a certain hygiene. For now, Kurumask is a reality that will not see other markets, if not the Japanese one. On the other hand, in the launch phase, the product was advertised as an option of the kei-car Honda N-box, at a cost of about £50.
The house of Tokyo is already working to increase production and
extend the application on other models and who knows, to reach even the export in the West.
