New York, New York—January 12, 2024—The International Trademark Association (INTA) opened registration for its 146th Annual Meeting earlier this week. As of today, more than 3,000 brand professionals, business leaders and owners, and government officials from 1,500+ organizations across 100+ countries have registered for the Meeting, which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, May 18 to 22, 2024. The INTA Annual Meeting is the largest global gathering of intellectual property (IP) professionals.
“We anticipate more than 10,000 registrants will join us in Atlanta for the IP community’s premier event of the year,” remarked INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “Thank you to our incredibly hard-working volunteers and staff. Without their dedication, a Meeting of this scale and scope would not be possible.”
The Annual Meeting is returning to Atlanta 20 years after the Association’s 126th Annual Meeting, held there in 2004. Often referred to as the ‘capital of the South,’ Atlanta has transformed itself in the subsequent years. With a revitalized downtown and a vibrant, innovative economy, it has become home to many US corporations and a notable number of Fortune 500 companies, including The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Air Lines Inc., The Home Depot, and the United Parcel Service (UPS), among others. The metro area is home to 40 corporate innovation centers, making it the most concentrated city of startups and innovators in the US Southeast. And over the past decade, more than a dozen companies started or based in Atlanta have grown to valuations above US $1 billion.
2024 Annual Meeting Co-Chair Auma N. Reggy (McKesson, USA) said, “I’m thrilled to welcome the global IP community to Atlanta. I’m sure registrants will be amazed by the beauty and rich historical significance of the city I am fortunate to call home.”
“We’re excited to bring the Annual Meeting to Atlanta and to the Georgia World Congress Center,” noted Mr. Sanz de Acedo. “It is a fantastic conference center and will serve as the hub for all Annual Meeting activities.”
Year after year, the INTA Annual Meeting programming and offerings are refined to meet the evolving needs of today’s brand owners and professionals and to reflect the global, technology-driven marketplace in which they operate. This year is no different. Themed around The Business of Innovation, the educational program features two curated educational tracks: an IP and Innovation Track and a Business Track. The Meeting will feature more than 25 educational sessions and 3 workshops, including the new China Enforcement Workshop on Monday, May 20, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
The educational programming is complemented by a variety of Business Development activities, including more than 350 Table Topics, 10 Speed Networking sessions, receptions, charity events, idea exchanges, immersive excursions around Atlanta, and INTA’s Open Innovation Challenge.
“This year’s programming capitalizes on the technological and creative spirit of Atlanta,” said 2024 Annual Meeting Co-Chair Urko Ochoa (MINIÑO, Dominican Republic). “We encourage registrants to add educational sessions and Business Development activities to their schedules early—and before they schedule all their meetings—in order to benefit from the full Annual Meeting experience.”
“Don’t plan to be around the Meeting. Plan to be in the Meeting!” added Ms. Reggy. “And be sure to register soon and take advantage of the early bird rate.”
Early Bird pricing will be available through March 8. Learn more and register for the 2024 Annual Meeting.
