From 10 to 13 February, Kuwait will host IIFME 2020: more than 1500 inventors from 39 countries are expected for the International Fair of Middle East Inventions.
Kuwait opens the doors to innovation and new technologies. From 10 to 13 February, the emirate will host the 12th edition of IIFME, the International Fair of Middle East Inventions. The event is organized by the Kuwait Science Club under the patronage of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the collaboration of the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva and the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations. IIFME has a well-established tradition: the first edition was held in 2007 and since then the Fair has progressively grown to become one of the largest industry events in the Middle East. Last year, IIFME welcomed more than 1000 inventors from 35 countries and more than 45000 visitors. For the 2020 edition more than 1500 inventors from 39 countries are expected: the best ideas will be rewarded with a cash prize worth 50000 dollars. Engineering, computer science, electronics, aviation, medicine and alternative energies are the main themes of the 2020 edition of IIFME.
IIFME 2020: the message of President Alkharafi
On the eve of the inauguration, the President of the Organizing Committee Talal J. Alkharafi sent a welcome message to the exhibitors and thousands of enthusiasts who will visit the IIFME 2020 pavilions. “As President of the Kuwait Science Club and Chairman of the IIFME Organizing Committee, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 12th International Fair of Inventions in the Middle East. IIFME has a well-established tradition. The first edition was held in 2007, and since then, IIFME has raised the bar and today IIFME is one of the largest specialized exhibitions of inventions in the Middle East. With the participation of more than 43 countries around the world, 1,559 inventors, 1,745 inventions, today IIFME is considered the second most significant exhibition in the world. The results of the eleventh edition of IIFME are proof of the importance of the message we want to convey through the exhibition.
