Here is the organic and sustainable fabric 100% Made in Italy

Vegea, an innovative company specialising in biotechnologies, was founded in Milan, Italy, in particular in the production of fabrics made from organic materials. An example of this is the creation of a dress made from waste materials from wine.

If we think that 13 million pomace is the amount of waste produced by Italian wineries, then the environmental impact will certainly be important. And it is here that Vegea’s work is grafted, which gives a new life starting from this organic waste. In addition to the name of the start-ups themselves, Vegea is the name of the biotechnological fabric obtained from the fibre and oil of the marc. The sustainability of the process is immediately evident as it does not use any fuel or animal derivatives.

The production process

The process is always replicable for 3 years as the pomace to which the vine berry was tied is naturally biodegradable. In addition to being sustainable, the fabric is similar in every way to that used by a designer. Not only that, what really strikes you is its resistance and overall quality.

Practical examples of application can be found in the interior of the Bentley GT New Exp 100 GT and in the dress designed by Tiziano Guardini, kept at the V&A Museum.
