Heatbox, the stylish and portable self-heating lunchbox

A group of four Dutch boys launched a campaign on kickstarter with an immediate and surprising success

Nowadays, the focus on good food is increasing and also involves lunches during working days. The healthiest option is to prepare lunch at home and take it to work or university. The several lunchboxes available meet the most varied aesthetic needs but all have one thing in common: they do not heat the food. Heatbox is proposed as a solution that combines style and functionality.

How does it work?

Heatbox uses innovative and intelligent technology to heat the meal, even in the most remote places. The heat comes from the container with an integrated battery, which heats the water added by the consumer. The steam produced comes into contact with a second container where the food is stored and in eight minutes brings your lunch to temperature. The battery can be used up to three times with a single charge, can act as a powerbank for a smartphone and is commonly charged via USB.

The Heatbox is also innovative in its design, exterior and interior. Externally it is presented with very elegant lines and a lid in 100% bamboo. Internally, the seal of the container is ensured by an anti-loss mechanism designed ad hoc with a pending patent. The Heatbox can be managed through an app that allows us to program the time and duration of the heating, even remotely.

Heatbox is the brainchild of four young people from the Netherlands and can still be found on Kickstarte. The campaign reached its target in less than 24 hours, while mass production is expected to start in 2020.
