Already present since last year in the U.S., the new speaker from Google is being talked about for the new launch on the Italian market, this time also has a 7-inch display.
It seems that this new vocal assistant wants to take revenge on the semi-darkness suffered as a result of the success of Amazon Echo. For this reason the device is more performing than its predecessor Home and Home mini.
Nest Hub is able to make our home more “intelligent”, with the integration of home automation systems, connecting it to surveillance cameras, lights and appliances. In addition to always having the classic functions of entertainment, music playback and general information.
In addition, the interaction with the assistant has evolved, you can also use Nest Hub through the Home or your smartphone.
Although the premise does not seem to reveal anything new, in reality the device brings with it clear innovations.
First of all, the display, with its clear graphics, makes even the simplest questions to the assistant visually appealing. You can enjoy the reproduction of video and music content, more comfortable than a small PC or a tablet.
Easy to take to the bathroom to enjoy a shower humming without worrying about how to change station or song but especially in the kitchen, in fact, if we are going to prepare a particular dish and we need the recipe, Google can show you or can read for you the ingredients. All without ever touching the screen but governing everything vocally.
If you are new to the game, before using Nest Hub you have to configure it, just download the Google Home application, on your smartphone and follow the steps indicated. Then connect the device to a Wi-Fi connection.
Initially the use of the Home application may seem complex but the addition of home automation in the new device makes it more fluid, thanks to the voice control that you can exercise.
If instead you are a veteran of Google technology, you have already configured products or other in your account, you will find all your info in the Nest Hub and you can start talking to your home, appliances and of course ask questions to Big G.
Wanting to sum it up, we could say that the absence of a camera, prevents the device from being even more complete.
Google Nest Hub is officially available in Italy at the price of 129€.
