The Edge Hog is a bike that can be customised to suit the needs of each driver: it has a hybrid engine and can be ‘folded’ into itself
Have you always dreamed of riding a Harley but your bank account doesn’t allow it? Ledio Cristian Prezzi’s project could be the right solution. The name comes from a play on words between Edge – an Anglo-Saxon expression that indicates everything that is “on the edge” – and Hog, an anagram of “Harley Owners Group”, the international community of owners of iconic US motorbikes. And indeed, the Edge Hog is a project that stands “on the edge of the Harley world”. It is a moped that can be customised to suit the needs of the driver, with particular emphasis on ease of transport. By closing the pedals, the vehicle can be slid between the rear and front seats of a medium-sized car. A special hinge allows the steering stem to be removed and the fork to be dismantled. It is also possible to install a special handlebar that further reduces the volume of the moped.

Edge Hog: the low cost customised motorbike
The Edge Hog is a low-cost customised motorbike that can be folded up and loaded into a car with the front wheel folded over the rear wheel. The motorbike is so compact that there is even room for a passenger on the seat! The first model of the Edge Hog has a 2-stroke petrol engine, but the aim is to switch to a hybrid power supply. As well as being environmentally friendly, an electric motor would make transport much safer by eliminating any risk of explosion or petrol spillage. The final price of the Edge Hog should be around €1500: a real bargain for two-wheel enthusiasts!
