The “Covid-19 Challenge”, the Call for Ideas promoted by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Marzotto Venture Accelerator to develop innovative projects and ideas in the health care field, starts.
Developing innovative ideas, supporting high-tech projects in the healthcare sector, proposing innovative products and services to ensure business and life continuity. These are the objectives of “Covid-19 Challenge”, a Call for Ideas promoted by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Marzotto Venture Accelerator. The call is open to research teams, spin-offs, startups and innovative SMEs. The authors of the most brilliant and innovative projects will have at their disposal services and funding for a total value of €5 million. To participate in the call, an online form must be completed by April 30, 2020. Given the urgency imposed by the global situation, the proposals received will be evaluated according to an over-the-counter procedure and, if deemed worthy, will have immediate access to the facilities provided. The “winners” will be included in a dedicated incubation and acceleration program managed by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Marzotto Venture Accelerator. The project aims to promote an integrated system of collaboration between actors such as universities, research teams, startups, venture capital and large enterprises.

In this way, we confirm the closeness to the world of innovation and its support to the community of young researchers, capable of intercepting the needs of the market with innovative ideas based on the enhancement of research and in line with the objectives of the Third Mission and the ethical culture of sustainable development that characterizes our University”. “The full complementarity of the partnership between an University of excellence such as the Campus Bio-Medical University of Rome and the resources and skills made available by our Accelerator – explains the CEO of Marzotto Venture Accelerator, Roberto Guida – will allow us to launch the first Open Innovation Academy in Italy”.
