Answer the phone with only your finger on your ear. Here is the invention of an Italian start-up

When we imagine a future where our smartphone becomes even more performing, we think that tomorrow it can make us coffee.

Apparently, however, an Italian start-up, Deed, has already reached an excellent goal, creating a multifunctional bracelet to answer the phone with only the use of the finger resting on the ear.
The device is called Get, and uses the physical principle of bone conduction, which allows you to bring the index to the ear allowing you to answer the phone, send payments and listen to music.

Like the now famous smartwatch, Get is worn and connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone.

When you receive a phone call or notification, you feel a vibration along your arm. To answer you need to rotate your wrist and to bring your finger closer to your ear. You can also use the voice command to make a payment.
In practice, according to the principle mentioned above, the cochlea – the last part of the inner ear – is reached through vibrations produced by the sound, propagated by Get through the hand that acts as a sounding board. And Get’s built-in microphone allows the person we’re talking to hear our voice.

The Italian startup Deed was founded in 2016 by two Roman brothers Edoardo and Emiliano Parini and develops the project Get inside the business incubator I3P of the Polytechnic of Turin.

Having obtained a conspiring funding, Get has been very successful also among the American public, with pre-orders through the Kickstarter platform for 100,000 dollars. The cost is 190 dollars.

In addition, the product has received among large business realities, for example Spotify has adopted the technology of Deed at the launch of the new album of the Italian singer-songwriter Ultimo.

Nastro Azzurro transformed the Milanese Navigli into a big “silent disc” in which Get technology allowed the audience to listen to the music.

MAXXI in Rome also wanted to experiment with Get, replacing the classic audio guides with the aim of renewing the experience and enjoyment of the Museum and its works.

The final product should be released in spring 2020.
