Technology, innovation and future sustainable development, these are the three main themes that will be addressed during the next edition of the Taiwan Innotech Expo 2019 (TIE), exhibition of inventions and technology exchange fair that will be hosted, from 26 to 28 September, at the Taipei World Trade Center 1.
Many of last year’s winners, including 17 Platinum Awards, 122 Silver Awards and 160 Bronze Awards, for a total of 416 winners and which saw the emergence among all the participating realities, the Chung Yuan Christian University which has collectively obtained 16 victories in Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards as well as a Platinum Award.
Instead, among the only winners of the Platinum Awards 2018, the most prestigious prize of the Expo, have distinguished themselves, for innovation and originality, several inventions.
The heat treatment material collection device, created to solve the problem of low heat treatment efficiency through circulation pipes and a material filtering box, was presented by the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre by Huang Chia Hung, Yang Ji Hua, Lo Wan Chung, Cho Ting Pin, Huang, Huai Tzun.
Otherwise, FineArt Technology won thanks to the presentation of the system and virtual disk protection method, sandbox mechanism isolated in the computer to protect files to prevent data loss, by Liu Yu Chien and Liou Jenn-Hann.
Inventors Lin Jiaqing and Chen Yu of Hwaseong Electric and Fortune Electric won the medal with the noise suppression transmission transformer intended for homes and schools to reduce low-frequency noise to ensure high stress reduction.
The only foreign winner of the 2018 Platinum Award was THOWGHETER BIKES from Germany.
The TIE, organized by the Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), aims to promote international trade in intellectual property through the participation of successful entrepreneurs from around the world whose aim is to complement investment in commercial technology and make Taiwan the world’s largest platform for technological innovation.
The fair is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Committee on Agriculture, the Chinese Development Association and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Taiwan Innotech Expo invites more than 50 international manufacturers to create cross-border industrial technology exchanges thus stimulating opportunities for bilateral cooperation on intellectual property capable of creating a real link between Southeast Asia and the world’s leading organizations including: Europe, United States and Japan.
The program for this 2019 edition is very rich: ten seminars will be organised on various topics: patents, technologies, capital matchmaking and networking, all with a view to open innovation. Among the participating companies and institutions there are the most prestigious and renowned international realities such as Nissan, Microsoft, Korea Invention Promotion Association, Spanish Inventors Association and many others that will contribute to make the content of this edition 2019, not only more conspicuous and interesting, but also more stimulating.
